When we talk about the coronavirus, we often talk about the negatives and negatives alone. Health concerns, economic trends, first-world convenience issues – clearly it’s been a hindrance for many. But the virus has also brought with it some silver linings and surprises.

For instance, I’ve noticed many furloughed entrepreneurs diversifying their portfolios, developing new products and processes as side gigs to their day jobs. While these endeavors may be temporary, they are nonetheless tapping into peripheral skill sets to help people make ends meet. From my end, this is one of the most underrated hallmarks of the year. If business leaders can embrace greater technology, remote systems, and their employees making a difference outside the 9-5, no question we’ll be a more mature society moving forward.
