Have you ever wondered why we separate behaviors and results when we talk about leadership?

I know in my experience, I see many talking about leadership and results and leadership and behavior, but not behaviors and results. Perhaps this has to do with the time we live in where behavior is implied more than anything else.

Whatever the case, as business leaders, it’s important we define the behaviors of our work environments. While it’s sensible to expect people to know what good work and attitudes look like, as I discuss in this episode, how they mesh within a specific organization is not ‘one size fits all’. For instance, integrity is integrity anywhere you go, but how it looks when applied to select functions can vary upon interpretation.

As such, it’s critical we clarify our corporate behaviors and integrate them into our bylaws, customer service, and every process in between.
