It’s been said there’s nothing new under the sun. If a concept can be created, chances are it’s already been created.

However, as a public speaker, I’m finding if there is something new, it’s how ideas are being reshaped and renamed in their everyday communication.

Take ‘design thinking’, for instance. When I first heard the term, I didn’t know offhand what it was about. But upon further review, I realized I had plenty of knowledge on the process, specifically the three pillars of design thinking: empathy, ideation, and experimentation.

As I discuss in this episode, it’s important for business leaders to drill down and keep up with emerging organizational terms. Not only will the practice help you relate to diverse audiences, but also apply new levels of intellect systematically.
