2020 has been an unprecedented year. Even those working for the most magical place on earth were not spared. In light of the 28,000 cast members that were recently let go, Jody and I want to address life after getting laid off.

As with most challenges, your attitude and the way you approach difficult times can make or break your situation. While this is a hard time for Disney, their loss has the potential to be a win for many other companies. It is also an opportunity for many former cast members to rally around those recently laid off.

For those who have been laid off, remember what you have learned and what you view as common may be magical for a future employer. Don’t be afraid to move forward and experience life after Disney. For those hiring, former cast members have something more valuable than experience; and they can make a huge difference in your company.
