Come Rain or Shine Podcast Episode 206 Marry Your Vision
On this episode of Come Rain or Shine, Andre Young, Founder of You Evolving Now LLC, joins the show. Andre and Dan discuss career journeys and what happens when people marry their vision. Andre is a speaker, author, and the Founder of You Evolving Now, LLC. During his 19 years of experience as a Mental Health Therapist he focused on marital, individual, and group counseling.

As an individual, athlete, employee, and business owner, Andre went through many life-altering experiences. He took the lessons from those experiences and has now created a movement around:

  • Positive Living
  • Personal Growth
  • Relationship Growth
  • Healthy Living
  • Lifestyle Enhancement

His work is enhancing work/life harmony and leadership on-site for companies and schools.

During this conversation Andre shares where he gets his drive as an entrepreneur. He also offers some of the lessons he took away from his time as an athlete and mental health therapist. Many of those lessons are what have lead to his ongoing desire to motivate organizations through meaningful leadership practices.

Andre shares that the problem with some leaders is they marry their vision and the path they forge as opposed to their ‘why’. However, this often leads to burnout and disillusion. Too many managers try to stir their team to outcomes. Yet Andre argues it’s far better for them to perform beyond good intentions and inspire that to anyone within their influence.

Quotes:

“As the leader…you don’t have to have the answers. You’re not there to be a ‘know all’ and distribute your knowledge; you’re there to facilitate the knowledge to solve issues together. “
