In today’s work climate, feedback can seem like an ambiguous term.
When do you give it? How often? How do you handle those resistant to it?
The answers aren’t always black and white.
However, as Jody and I discuss in this episode, regardless of what role you play, you must give critical feedback. As harsh as it may sound, you can’t lead effectively if you avoid constructive criticism.
Even if transparency isn’t your forte, consider part of your influence as preparing your teammates for bigger, better things. Don’t just settle on harmony but balance with clear expectations and behavior reinforcement. After all, although you can’t make people change, you can still give them the impetus.
